Run a form in kiosk mode

Kiosk mode is best for in-person or shared-device use where one person should finish before the next begins.

Good kiosk use cases

  • event check-ins
  • booths or stations
  • tablet-based surveys
  • front-desk collection

Steps

  1. Open a published form.
  2. Create or select a kiosk link.
  3. Load the kiosk link on the shared device.
  4. Submit a full test response.
  5. Confirm the success state resets the form cleanly for the next person.

Expected result

Each person should see a clean form state after the previous response completes.

Common mistakes

  • using a normal share link instead of the kiosk path
  • leaving the device on the success screen too long
  • not testing the reset behavior before going live

Operational tip

If staff members will also submit responses on someone else's behalf, give each sharing method a clear name so later reporting stays easy to read.
