This page summarizes how Fennec Forms processes data on behalf of creators.
Platform role
As between Fennec Forms and the Creator, the Creator determines the purposes and means of the Creator's collection and use of respondent and recipient data submitted through the Service. Fennec Forms processes such data on the Creator's behalf for the limited purpose of providing, securing, maintaining, supporting, and improving the Service, subject to the applicable agreement and data processing terms.
Nothing in this section relieves the Creator of responsibility for the lawfulness of its collection, notices, permissions, communications, or downstream use of respondent or recipient data.
What Fennec Forms processes
When respondents interact with forms, surveys, or quizzes created through the Service, Fennec Forms may process submission data (the content of responses), technical metadata (such as IP address, user agent, and request timing for security and service operation), analytics metadata (such as country, device type, and channel attribution, when analytics features are enabled by the creator), and campaign delivery data (such as recipient email addresses, delivery status, and engagement signals, when email campaign features are used).
How data is processed
Fennec Forms processes creator and respondent data to operate the Service, including storing submissions, delivering emails, generating analytics, enforcing security rules, and supporting exports. Processing is limited to what is necessary to provide the features the creator has enabled.
Security and incident response
Fennec Forms maintains security measures appropriate to the nature of the data processed. In the event of a security incident affecting creator or respondent data, Fennec Forms will notify affected creators in accordance with applicable terms and legal requirements.
Data retention
Submission data and associated analytics snapshots are retained according to the team's configured data retention policy. Creators can configure retention periods within the limits of their plan. Raw analytics event data is retained separately and may have a shorter retention window than submission data.
Subprocessors
Fennec Forms uses third-party service providers to help operate parts of the Service, including hosting, email delivery, file storage, and payment processing. A list of subprocessors is maintained and available upon request.
