This page describes the compliance responsibilities that apply to creators who use email campaign and invitation features in Fennec Forms.
Creator responsibility for email campaigns
If the Creator uses email campaign or invitation features, the Creator is solely responsible for the legality of its recipient lists, message content, targeting, timing, consent practices, unsubscribe handling obligations, and compliance with laws governing electronic communications and direct marketing in the jurisdictions where recipients are located.
The Creator must not use the Service to send unlawful, deceptive, unsolicited, or abusive communications, or to contact recipients without any permissions, lawful basis, or other authorization required by applicable law.
What this means in practice
Before sending campaigns, you should make sure you have permission or another lawful basis to contact each recipient, your message content is accurate and not misleading, you include a functioning unsubscribe mechanism, you honor unsubscribe requests promptly, and you comply with the marketing email and electronic communications laws that apply to your recipients.
Tracking and attribution
When you send campaigns through Fennec Forms, the platform may track delivery status, opens, clicks, and submission attribution. This tracking supports campaign reporting and analytics. You are responsible for disclosing tracking practices where required by applicable law.
Recipient data
You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of the recipient lists you upload or create. Fennec Forms processes recipient data on your behalf to deliver campaigns and report on delivery and engagement.
Suppression and unsubscribe
Fennec Forms maintains a per-team suppression list. Recipients who unsubscribe through the unsubscribe mechanism are added to this list and will not receive future campaign emails from your team unless the suppression is removed. You are responsible for making sure your unsubscribe practices meet the requirements of applicable law.
Prohibited uses
You may not use Fennec Forms email features to send spam or unsolicited bulk email, harvest or scrape email addresses for campaign use, send to purchased lists without proper consent, impersonate another sender, or circumvent unsubscribe or suppression mechanisms.
