Shopify Merchant Agreement

Review draft of the agreement for merchants using Fennec Forms with Shopify.

Draft updated October 7, 2026

Review draft. This document is proposed Shopify-specific content for review. It has not taken effect and does not replace the existing Fennec Forms Terms of Service.

About this agreement

This draft describes the proposed terms between the merchant using Fennec Forms for Shopify ("you") and Adam Greenwell, the operator of Fennec Forms ("we"). The operator's mailing address is 4707 Perie Wood Lane, Kent, Ohio 44240, United States. It supplements our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Shopify Privacy Supplement. The general terms continue to cover account responsibility, acceptable use, service availability, intellectual property, and limitations of liability. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

What the app provides

Fennec Forms for Shopify connects your store to a Fennec workspace so authorized members can create, publish, and review Product Request forms. You can add a form to a compatible Shopify storefront using a theme app block, inherit the storefront theme's styling, and use conditional questions to collect requests.

You maintain the product choices in the form, decide which requests to approve, and arrange fulfillment yourself. This version does not pull a live product catalog, add requested products to a cart, create orders, take checkout payments, or fulfill requests automatically. Sending a request does not guarantee that a respondent will receive a product.

Where the app has the required customer permissions and a storefront response contains suitable name and email fields, it can link the response to an existing Shopify customer or create a customer record. Changes to an existing customer's name require review before they are applied. The app shows customer sync results and allows eligible failed attempts to be retried. A form response does not subscribe a respondent to marketing.

Access and workspace permissions

Shopify's installation screen describes the permissions requested for your store. We use that authorized access to operate the app. The Shopify Privacy Supplement explains the information involved and how it is handled.

A workspace owner must approve the connection to a Fennec workspace. Staff members pair their own Fennec accounts, and access depends on their current workspace membership and permissions. You are responsible for choosing the correct workspace, managing staff access, and protecting your accounts.

Only authorize an installation or workspace connection if you are entitled to act for the store and workspace. Do not share passwords or app credentials with support.

Your forms and respondents

You decide which questions the form asks, why you collect the answers, and how you use them. You are responsible for:

  • giving respondents appropriate privacy information and any required notices before collection
  • obtaining any permissions or consent required to collect, use, or send their information to Shopify or another service
  • making your product request conditions, eligibility, selection process, and fulfillment commitments clear
  • collecting only information needed for your stated purpose
  • reviewing responses, exports, customer sync changes, and access to your workspace
  • handling access, correction, deletion, and other privacy requests that relate to your forms

Follow our Creator Responsibility Policy and Restricted Data Policy. Do not use product request forms to collect restricted sensitive information without our prior written authorization.

Plans and charges

The initial Shopify offering includes a usable free form, subject to the applicable Fennec plan limits. Installing the app does not authorize a paid upgrade. If paid Shopify app plans are offered, their prices and terms will be presented for your approval through Shopify before you are charged.

Data use and service providers

We host and process form responses to provide the features you use. Published form information is sent to Shopify so the theme block can select and load the form. Suitable customer contact information may be sent to Shopify through the customer sync flow described above.

Hosting, storage, email delivery, monitoring, and other service providers may process information needed to operate the service. Your chosen exports or connected services may receive additional copies. See the Shopify Privacy Supplement and Data Processing Summary for the roles and current limitations.

Disconnecting or uninstalling

You can stop using the app or uninstall it through Shopify. Uninstalling revokes the app's store access and staff pairings. It does not, by itself, close your separate Fennec account or workspace, cancel a separate Fennec subscription, or confirm that every copy of information has been erased.

Before disconnecting, consider any records you need to export and forms published elsewhere from the same workspace. Contact us for a deletion request and its scope. The Shopify Privacy Supplement describes the deletion and retention work still under review before public launch.

Fennec Forms and Shopify

Fennec Forms is solely responsible for this app, including its development, operation, promotion, distribution, support, and handling of store information. Any liability arising from your access to or use of the app rests with Fennec Forms, subject to applicable law and the applicable agreement.

Shopify has no responsibility for app faults or harm caused by installing or using it. Unless Shopify expressly offers assistance, Shopify does not provide app installation or usage support. Direct app questions to Fennec Forms.

Shopify may change, suspend, or withdraw API access. That can affect app functionality even while your Fennec workspace remains available. Shopify's own services are governed by your agreements with Shopify.

Support and changes

Email [email protected] or use our Shopify support form. Include your store address, the affected form, and what happened; leave out passwords and sensitive respondent information.

Any finalized version of this agreement will carry its own published date. Changes that affect service terms or data handling will be reflected in the applicable published agreement and privacy information.
